Growing up, Arika Lawrence learned early the power of crayons. Secretly, coloring on the walls of her childhood closet helped her discover her creative gifts; especially, her love for writing and storytelling. Today, she's a senior digital strategist and UX/CX practitioner, serving a range of innovative brands that aim to simplify the complexity of human motivations and behaviors by translating these experiences into memorable, functional digital products and services. As a native of the Washington, D.C. area and an adopted daughter of Atlanta, she's no stranger to the world. She enjoys traveling, living and working around the world as a digital nomad. Arika holds a BA in Mass Media Arts - Journalism from the illustrious, Clark Atlanta University and an esteemed collection of professional certificates, including UX Design Professional from Skillcrush; Storytelling in Modern Media from Thread at Yale University; and Digital Marketing Theory & Analytics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign via Coursera.org. In her spare time, you can find her moonlighting as an SEO specialist, reading up the latest tech trends, perfecting recipes or volunteering. She currently resides in the Northern Virginia area, however, she's always remote-ready and open to coming to a city near you.
