ABOUT ARIKA

I'm a creative technologist and strategist with over 13 years of experience in communications, marketing, branding, content, customer experience, technology, and experience design. 

My work has been featured in award-winning trade shows and even on Capitol Hill! I've worked in industries from environmental services to travel, and now I'm in IT services. Currently, I'm a senior user experience designer at GoDaddy.

 

I'm a proud HBCU alumna of the illustrious Clark Atlanta University (CAU), and I hold a collection of professional certificates in storytelling, business innovation, risk management and more. At this time, I'm expanding my knowledge and expertise in cybersecurity and AI/ML.

 

In the professional community, I was recognized as a 2023 LinkedIn Top Voice in Writing and User Experience Design, a nominee for Women Who Code 2023 Applaud Her: 100 Technologists to Watch, WomenTech Network Ambassador and named a 2021 Fairygodboss VIP MVP. I'm also a member of ForbesBLK, HerAgenda, Fairygodboss, Women Who Code,  CAU's National Alumni Network (Go Panthers!), Golden Key Alumni Network and more.

When I'm not working, I enjoy self care activities, micro-mentoring, learning languages, reading, cooking, traveling, and volunteering. 

I'm based in the Washington, D.C. area, and I have extensive experience as a resourceful digital nomad.
